Things I learnt over the weekend

  • It is perfectly acceptable to eat haggis for both breakfast and a late night snack
  • It’s all about the long game if you want a decent snog
  • Snakebite and black tastes just as good as it did at Uni
  • If you go away from the house for a weekend you will come back to find out someone else has slept in your bed
  • It’s not right for them to then be sick in said bed
  • The Dambusters theme never gets annoying
  • Neither does calling up all the French people you know and singing “ou est le papier” at them
  • Going for a weekend with the girls can be very theraputic

Sounds like someone had a damn fine weekend!

  2. Such good news! I’m happy to read it. Well…except the sick in bed part. That wasn’t necessary.

  3. Sounds pretty good to me too! x

  4. smidge says:

Sounds like the Burgh made you smile, im glad. Did you snog (or almost?) a Scotsman? kx

  5. Totally agree with haggis as an anytime snackette – can thoroughly recommend it as a filling for a warm croissant.

Glad to hear you had a good w’end too – sick in bed excepted.

  6. Jo says:

Not content with waking you up when drunk, the housemates are now throwing up in your BED when drunk?

Words are needed, miss moo. Words.

  7. Did you get any answers to ou est le papier ?

  8. roseski says:

The sleeping in your bed is bad enough but sick…!?

How does ou est le papier go? I have so many french people to sing it at…

  9. andhari says:

Minus someone sleeping on your bed, that sounds like an awesome weekend :)

  10. Paula says:

So glad to have found your blog, had such a great laugh. Paula xx

So: who’s the man?! Your public demands an answer.

  12. Semaphore says:

Sounds like a good weekend to me, although the person who was sick in your bed deserves to walk the plank into shark-infested waters, in MY opinion… :D

And I’m with you on the Dambusters Theme – this little Lefty pacifist type still gets weepy at it. Have you read the book, by the way? Fab. If sad.
