Wednesday miscellany XIII

If you do one thing this week you must: Take advantage of the sunshine and get outside and do some exercise.

Posts and websites I’ve liked in the last week:

English Mum has a hangover
Hannah moves back home
Free&Flawed lets it go
BloodRedRoses gets too much information
Surviving myself realises that life is beautiful
Jo feels the pain of new shoes
Leonie streams her consciousness
The Spanish Exposition remembers

Did you know? In 1750 there were about 800 million people in the world. In 1850 there were a billion more, and by 1950, another billion. Then it took just 50 years to double to 6 billion.

Random Nuttycow fact: I have an obsession with pork pies. Not the best thing for the diet

Random twitter update seen this week: ”My boss types like he’s beating a recalcitrant slave” minifig

Last text message received: Fancy a beer? [oh yes]

Last text message sent: Good luck. I love you. x [N started a new job this week. I was proud and got gooey.]

Last thought before publishing: Hoorah! Training tonight. Bizarrely, rather looking forward to being beasted on the rugby pitch. Oh, and being eaten by mozzies.

  1. I wish it was sunny where I’m at! It’s miserable every other day. Does. Not. Make. Me. Happy.

Glad you liked my post :)

  2. Robbie says:

Isn’t “Take advantage of the sunshine and get outside and do some exercise” two things?

  3. Gumpher says:

    Pre season training, aaaaaaargh.

And you’re looking forward to it ?

That’s like being a proper athlete.

Whatever happened to polishing off a pint of Guiness and putting out a fag as you amble onto the pitch ?

  4. robcrilly says:

God, I’d kill for a Marks & Sparks pork pie

  5. English Mum says:

Huzzah, I got first linkage!!! Am recovered now thank you – only took me 24 hours (sign of old age, methinks).

@Robbie you’re such a smarty pants, I was going to say that! x

  6. Jo says:

You know that twitter update, I wonder if their boss is actually my old colleague who sat on the other side of the office from me, yet you could hear him typing above everyone else, actually not typing…more HAMMERING on his keyboard.

    Frustrating.

And glad you enjoyed my foot pain!

  7. nuttycow says:

BloodRedRoses – sending some sunshine your way.

    Robbie – pedant.

Gumpher – that happens before pre-season. As it was, my ankle gave in again and so I only did about 20 mins work :(

Robcrilly – funnily enough (for me, not you) I’d just eaten an M&S pork pie when you wrote that comment. Isn’t life cruel?

EM – that means you’re extra special :)

Jo – I didn’t enjoy your foot pain, I sympathised. I went through the same thing the other week.

  8. Milla says:

pork pies?!?! Jeez I might have to go off you. And why does every time I do a comment the “20 something blogger” sign just hoves into view all young and horrid.
Thank you SO MUCH for the gifties which have arrived. One is our second favourite drink ever, consume far too much and the other will look after one of my very favourite foods ever. xx

  9. nuttycow says:

Milla – how can you not like pork pies? Glad you liked the gifts and glad they will come in useful – it’s always slightly difficult buying for someone you don’t know!

  10. Thank you for the link love :)

  11. nuttycow says:

    F&F – you’re welcome. Love link love.
