How? Wha’? Why?

This disturbs me. I’ve mentioned my feelings on this kind of thing before but really, father and daughter? Doing the do?

“I knew it was illegal, of course I knew it was illegal, but so what?” he said. “Emotions take over.”

Brings a whole new meaning to the phrase “who’s your daddy?”

PS No picture with this post. How does one illustrate such a story?

I thought the exact same thing when i read this story earlier. there’s no justification for it

  2. Deutlich says:

    oh.. no.. that’s disgusting.

    Just Gross.

Not often you read a horrific tale of debauched sexual depravity that Brookside didn’t get to first.

(Or did they? Any parent/daughter action going on? Did Jimmy Corkhill have kids? I was far too young to be paying close attention and often got banned from the living room.)

It amuses me that they are banned from having sex with each other. How exactly is that enforced? Imagine having to wear an electronic tag *there*…

Reading that article makes me want to rip my eyes out (a la Oedipus, how very literary of me!).

It’s odd that it stipulates that incest is illegal because of the health risks to the children. Surely some boundaries just shouldn’t be crossed? For ideological reasons alone? I mean, obviously the health risks are apparent, but if the baby is healthy then that argument doesn’t stand. It’s just somehow inherently wrong.

LizSara – you just have to wonder what kind of morals they’ve been bought up with if they think it’s ok to just follow their emotions.

Deutlich – thought I’d give you something to think about over lunch ;)

Milla – yes, yes it is.

Ollie – I don’t watch Brookside (I only ever used to watch EastEnders when I was younger… oh, and Neighbours) so I have *no* idea what you’re on about on that score. Tags though – I like it.

Leonie – How the parents can claim that their child is normal/fine is beyond me. It’s mother is it’s sister. How is that going to play out in later life? I don’t know the law on this but I think I read somewhere that you can’t marry an immediate family relative but you can have a relationship with them as long as you don’t have sex. I think.

That is SO wrong. Eurgh. My stomach feels funny now.
